Academic Researcher and Publisher
Adeyinka Olumuyiwa Osunwusi is an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP), a certified aviation training instructor and a Subject Matter Expert on Communications and ATSEP Basic Competency with the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Nigeria. He served in different positions in the Nigerian aviation industry and was, until October 2018, heading the Training and Licensing Department of the Directorate of Safety Electronics Services of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.
A 2016 ICAO-Republic of Korea Training Fellow at the Korea Civil Aviation Training Center, Cheongwon, Korea, he is active in academic research and publishing in the field of aviation primarily on the Scholarly Commons platform of the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, USA. He is a reviewer to a number of reputable international journals. A chartered management consultant, he is also a member of the International Association of Engineers, Nigerian Institute of Management, and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
ZCAA Senior Inspector
Eng. Ananias Sichone is a Senior Inspector – Communication, Navigation and Surveillance at the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority (ZCAA) within the Directorate of Air Navigation Services responsible for the safety oversight of Air Navigation Services Providers a position he has served since 2018.
Before being appointed to the position of Senior Inspector in 2015, Eng. Ananias Sichone worked as a Senior Avionics Engineer at Zambia Airports Corporation Limited and was responsible for the commissioning, maintenance and repair of CNS systems, a position he served in since 2015.
Eng. Ananias Sichone serves as a National Safety Inspector (NSI) under the SADC Aviation Safety Organization and is also among the Air Navigation Services Experts under the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC).
His core area of expertise: Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) System Maintenance, Safety Oversight, Project & Organization Management, and Strategy & Regulation Development.

Avionics Maintenance Engineer

NAAE President
Engineer Selzing Miri is the President of Nigeria's National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE), former Deputy National President of NAAE, member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Member Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the acting General Manager of Flight Calibration /Technical, Research and Development with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Engineer Miri has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, specialising in maintenance and lecturing on navigational aid systems. He is also a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on navigational systems, ICAO certified training instructor and Universal Safety Oversight Audit Personnel (USOAP).
His core area of expertise: Maintenance and facilitation of navigational aids systems, research and development, flight calibration and technical.
IFATSEA Director Africa
Mr. Sam Mahlangu is the current International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations (IFATSEA) Region Africa Director, immediate past IFATSEA Strategy Officer for the South African Development Community (SADC) Region, and immediate past President of the South African Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel Association (SAATSEPA).
His core area of expertise: Air Traffic Management, Engineering and Air Traffic Services Management and Training, Business Development, Strategy Development and Execution, Project Management, and Stakeholder Management.
CNS Inspector
Engineer Bless Adjei is the secretariat in the IFATSEA Africa Region Director office and CNS Inspector with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). He has been with the GCAA for the past 16 years. Before joining the Regulator, he was an ATSEP within the Air Traffic Safety Department of GCAA.
Bless has experience processing applications for the certification of ANSPs relating to CNS facilities and making recommendations for such facilities and personnel. He also develops or reviews aeronautical telecommunication services regulations and technical guidance materials. He also conducts and process licensing activities to issue ATSEP licenses.
His core area of expertise: Aviation safety oversight, policy development and implementation, ATSEP licensing and regulations awareness and management.
SAATSEPA President
Ms. Orefile Mthombeni is the Executive President of the South African Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel Association (SAATSEPA) and Technical Standards Specialist with the Air Traffic and Navigation Services SOC Limited (ATNS SOC) of South Africa. She has a career span of more than ten (10) in the aviation industry, whereby she spent six (06) years working as an ATSEP responsible for the maintenance of CNS /ATM systems at the three major international airports in South Africa, including the biggest airport in Africa, the OR Tambo International Airport. The last five (05) years of her aviation career has been with the Safety Standards and Regulations division of ATNS SOC as a Technical Standards Specialist.
Her core areas of expertise: CNS/ATM systems maintenance, Human Factors, Safety Standards Assurance, development, and maintenance of an effective Safety Management System.
Senior Avionics Engineer
Engineer Daniel C Musantu is a highly skilled and experienced senior avionics engineer with the Zambia Airports Corporation Limited. He has a strong background in aviation electronics and air traffic management systems. He is passionate about ensuring the safety and efficiency of air traffic operations. Engineer Musantu has dedicated his career to managing and maintaining critical communication, navigation, and surveillance systems.
